Walking in Joyful Solidarity
Canadians have endorsed the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples! On June 20, bishops Susan Johnson (centre), Michael Pryse (second from right) and Mark MacDonald (far right - the Anglican Church’s National Indigenous Bishop) joined a cross-country “banner train” to walk with Aboriginal Peoples and KAIROS’ ecumenical and coalition partners to the Human Rights Monument on Parliament Hill. The walk was organized to encourage the implementation and living out of the Declaration. For more details, visit www.kairoscanada.org.
