Bishop’s Table

The Bishop’s Table is an intentional extension and deepened inclusion of the Bishop’s Company. As we learn from our new hymn, it is better to build a longer table than a higher fence. With a full heart, I invite you and other cherished friends to come to the table on November 8th from 11am-2pm for nourishment, to be in each other’s company, for inspiration, and to receive a special gift and token of appreciation and connection.

Today, on this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we are called to action, reflection, and lament. As progressive Lutherans, we believe that every single human being is created in God’s image - a fundamental truth that is violently denied whenever a person is subjected to abuse.Violence against women is a sin against our neighbor and a profound injustice that shatters the wholeness God intends for creation. Our faith demands more than just prayer; it requires courageous, liberating action.Our Call to Justice:1. Listen & Believe: Commit to hearing the stories of survivors and believing them without question.2. Speak Up: Challenge misogyny, patriarchy, and abuse in our homes, churches, and communities. Silence is complicity.3.
