New Denmark

Founded by people of Danish background, our congregation is located in a beautiful rural community. We still sing one Danish hymn at worship every Sunday. Our 100th anniversary was celebrated in 2005. Ours is a warm and hospitable community where we enjoy a close relationship with our Anglican neighbours at St. Ansgar's, including a joint Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. An adult Bible study meets weekly at the local Seniors' Complex. Quilting is done for Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR). Several community and congregational suppers are held annually.

Bethany is a small, rural, Danish-background congregation with a definite family atmosphere. Members are faithful at worship and most remain for coffee following worship. A weekly Bible study is held at the nearby seniors' complex. Sunday School takes place in co-operation with two neighbouring congregations, one Lutheran, one Anglican. A women's group is active and each year a phenominal number of quilts are produced and sent to Canadian Lutheran World Relief. A local food bank is supported.
